MISA Ontario Appoints Executive Director

The MISA Ontario Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Babej as MISA Ontario’s Executive Director, effective June 5, 2016.  Anne brings a wealth of experience as an association executive. Most recently she held the position of Chief Operating Officer with the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA), where she spent the past 16 years in a variety of senior management roles. Prior to CPSA, Anne held management positions at the Commercial Travellers Association of Canada in the areas of Public Relations and Education.

“We are very excited to welcome Anne to MISA Ontario”, notes Christine Swenor, MISA Ontario President.  “She brings a strong combination of strategic thinking and operational savvy to the role and will no doubt contribute to the ongoing evolution and success of our association”.

Anne brings significant experience in the areas of human resource management, communications, association governance, event planning, member relations and financial management – with a keen understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities unique to the association world.  A graduate of the University of Toronto, Anne has continued to focus on professional development, earning a number of certificates from the Schulich School of Business, the American Society of Association Executives and the Sheridan Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning.
