The Norfolk County Heritage & Culture Division is very excited to announce the launch of our new interactive website - www.norfolkculture.ca.   This is a powerful new tool that supports and promotes Norfolk County's cultural assets and programs.

One of the most exciting features of our new website is the long awaited Norfolk County Cultural Map that has been created by our GIS Division.   Here you can search for properties that have a Heritage Designation with links to related photographs, By-Laws and the Criteria for Designation reports. The map also includes the cultural asset data that was gathered in 2013 by the Canadian Urban Institute through the efforts of the Norfolk Arts Culture and Heritage Alliance (NACHA).   The map's inventory of Norfolk County's cultural assets is extensive and contains lighthouses, cemeteries, shipwrecks, cultural occupations, monuments, non-designated heritage properties and much more.

In anticipation of the upcoming celebration of Canada's Sesquicentennial, we have incorporated a Canada 150 portal which includes a Calendar of Events. If you are hosting an event in 2017, let us know about it and we will be sure to include it on the calendar. The form for event submissions will be available online early September.

Two distinctive Norfolk County Canada 150 logos have been created and can also be found on the website. These may be used by Norfolk County organizations and businesses at no charge, if permission is first granted from the Norfolk County Heritage & Culture Division. You can find the Application for Use on the website.

Of course, norfolkculture.ca provides you with pertinent information about and links to our County owned cultural assets, as well as information about our annual awards programs and the Norfolk Heritage Committee.

Last but not least we have a new email address norfolkculture@norfolkcounty.ca.
