MISA Prairies is pleased to announce three classroom-based training sessions for ITIL 4 Foundations in the Fall of 2019! Registration is now open for courses in Edmonton, Calgary, and Saskatoon.
To offer an affordable experience to our members, we have partnered with member Municipalities to facilitate these sessions within Municipal facilities. The Edmonton session will be hosted in Stony Plain (Sept 30-Oct 2), the Calgary session will be offered in Okotoks (Oct 3-4), and the Saskatchewan session will take place the following week at the City of Saskatoon (Oct 7-9). All three locations offer multiple options for accommodations and dining for commuters. Each session will run 8:30-4:00 each day.
The cost per seat is $1,400 CAD and includes a pass guarantee from the training provider. The Edmonton and Saskatoon sessions will facilitate the exam at the end of the course while Calgary attendees will receive a voucher to complete the exam online after the classroom session is finished. If a re-write is required, the training provider offers a second exam voucher (a $200-$400 value) and one hour of private virtual one on one tutoring.
Comparable training from private training facilities is being offered in the $1,800-$2,000 per seat price range. Taking this course with MISA could save you up to $600 per seat!
Please consider registering by July 31st. In order to make these three courses viable, MISA may open registration up to other chapters and non-members in August to fill seats.

Released in early 2019, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundations version 4 Foundations is the latest release from Axelos. Focusing on five core volumes, version 4 Foundations is intended to provide an introduction to an international service delivery framework that is vendor, and system agnostic. Basis concepts covered in the training include:
ITIL Version 4 specifically introduces two new concepts concerning the ITIL service value system (SVS) and the Four Dimension Model. The Service Value concept introduces an operation model that considers plan, improve, engage, design / transition, obtain / build, and deliver / support. The Four-dimension model focuses on the 4 P’s of ITIL – people, products, partners, and processes.
