York Region expands customer service offering with launch of mobile app

The Regional Municipality of York is making it even easier for residents to connect with regional information, alerts and services through the launch of a new application available for mobile and tablet devices.

The York Region app is comprised of a number of self-serve menu options. Residents can "report a problem" including potholes, damaged trees, missing or damaged street signs and signal timing concerns on or along regional roads. Residents also have the ability to stay up to date on regional news, browse available jobs and sign up to receive emergency notifications.

Through the Report a Problem feature, residents have the ability to take a photo, use GPS to select a location on a map and provide comments. Once submitted, the problem is received by the Region and assigned for review and action.

Combined with York Region's website and active participation on seven social media channels, the mobile app offers residents an additional way to connect with the Region and aligns with our commitment to expand customer service access for residents.
