The Data Driven Intelligence Working Group and the Public Sector Service Delivery Council (PSSDC) are excited to share with MISA members, the Analytics Playbook.

To support the development of the Playbook, input was gathered from a number of thought leaders in the public and private sector. These conversations were critical to define the value of data and analytics to public sector organizations and identify best practices as organizations seek to leverage analytics to inform decision making and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services and programs. Case studies were also gathered from jurisdictions across the country and from all levels of government that demonstrate the exciting progress being made in advancing the use of analytics in the public sector.

This Playbook will be an effective tool for public sector organizations to get started on their analytics journey as well as advance up the maturity curve to implement more advanced tools and methodologies. PSSDC has already heard the document has had an impact in helping jurisdictions advocate internally for leadership buy-in and resources to build analytics capacity. The plan is to keep this document evergreen and incorporate leading practices and cases as the sector and environment evolves. The Data Driven Intelligence Working Group looks forward to keeping you up to date in the future. You are encouraged to provide them with relevant use cases you feel would be pertinent.
