We acknowledge that the lands on which we gather are the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous peoples. We honour and respect the history, languages, ceremonies and culture of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit who call this territory home. We recognize that land acknowledgements across this country are an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on and a way of honouring the indigenous peoples who have been living and working on this land since time immemorial. It is important to understand the long standing history that has brought us to reside on this land and to seek to understand our place within that history.
