2018 Events

Annual Conference and Trade Show

MISA Prairies is hosting its annual conference and trade show May 6 to 9 at the Sheraton Hotel in Red Deer. 

This event will begin with welcome activities on Sunday May 6 where delegates can partake in a golf tournament at Alberta Springs or a carriage ride and campfire at the Heritage Ranch.

On Monday May 7, Technical, GIS and Leadership workshops will immerse delegates in the subject matter of their choosing.  In the evening, all delegates will be treated to the annual welcome social networking events as well as some featured activities that all are sure to enjoy.

On May 8 and 9 the plenary sessions will take place covering a wide variety of topics that will be of interest to a variety of delegates from technical to leadership

October Workshops

 

MISA Prairies will host a dual track training event on October 23 – 26 in Red Deer, Alberta.

The technical track is a course on Hardening Windows Networks presented by Digital Boundary Group.  The Leadership track will be hosted by Tantus and will be a session on Data Governance Management and Analytics

Hardening Windows Networks Training – October 23-26, 2018

 

MISA Prairies has partnered with Digital Boundary Group to offer a full Hardening Windows Networks Training course hosted in Red Deer, Alberta.

 

This hands on lab based training session focuses on the tools and processes required to harden, monitor, and protect Microsoft Windows-based networks.

 

Students will receive a printed copy of the course material and a USB key containing the tools used during the course.

 

Data Governance Management and Analytics – October 23 – 26, 2018

 

MISA Prairies has partnered with Tantus Solutions Group to offer a workshop on Data Governance, Management and Analytics. The establishment of a Data Governance framework is the foundation for how an organization manages its data to ensure quality and to address need. The application of analytics further this by supporting decision-making, mitigating risk, and optimizing resources. During our collaborative sessions participants will explore how a proper framework supported by tools and tactics can bring value to organizational data.More information to be announced.

This hands on lab based training session focuses on the tools and processes required to harden, monitor, and protect Microsoft Windows-based networks.

2019 Events

Annual Conference and Trade Show

MISA Prairies is hosting its annual conference and trade show April 8 to 10 at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in the majestic Jasper, Alberta. 

This event will begin with a day of workshops on April 8th for the leadership, technical and GIS professionals. On the evening of April 8th, we will welcome delegates in traditional MISA Prairies style with a networking tour of local venues in downtown Jasper.  April 9th and 10th will feature keynote speakers and plenary sessions as well as amazing dining and entertainment experiences.
